What 'safe video chat' actually means
A lot of video chat sites promise safety in marketing and deliver almost nothing in practice. Manna is built around four specific commitments — each one is a structural choice, not a feature you can toggle off:
Verified identity. Every account starts with an email verification step. There are no anonymous accounts, which means there's actually someone accountable on the other side of the call.
18+ only. Manna is strictly for adults. The verification step checks email, and accounts found to be minors are removed.
Mutual-yes consent before video. You see each other's profile and shared interests first. Both of you have to independently tap yes before the camera turns on. Either of you can pass — no awkward stuck-on-camera moments.
Real moderation. Every call has Report and Block in the top bar. Reports go to a queue that's actually reviewed. Repeat bad actors get banned.
Peer-to-peer video — Manna doesn't see your calls
Manna uses WebRTC for live video, which means the video stream goes directly between you and the other person, not through Manna's servers. We literally can't record or watch your call. That's also why your audio and video quality is good even on consumer internet — there's no relay in the middle slowing things down.
Block and report on every call
The top bar of every conversation has two buttons: Report and Block. Block permanently prevents that user from matching with you again. Report sends the account to a moderation queue with the reason you flagged it. Reports are reviewed and bad actors are banned.
Privacy that respects you
One profile photo, not a deck — you don't have to upload a personal album.
Your email is never shown to other users.

What makes Manna safer than Omegle or Monkey?
Three structural differences: (1) every user is 18+ and email verified before they can match, (2) video only starts after both people independently consent, and (3) every conversation has a built-in report-and-block flow that goes to a real moderation queue. Anonymous random video chat couldn't be moderated at scale; verified video chat can.
Are there minors on Manna?
Manna is strictly 18+ and enforces an email verification step before signup is complete. If you encounter a user you believe is underage, report them — accounts are reviewed and removed.
What if someone behaves badly on a call?
Every call has a Report and Block control in the top bar. Reports route to a moderation queue; bad actors get banned. You can also block any user from ever matching with you again.
Does Manna store my video calls?
No. Live video is peer-to-peer WebRTC — it doesn't go through our servers and isn't recorded by Manna.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes, anytime. Settings → Delete Account permanently removes your profile, photo, message history, and account record.
