The ten Manna interests
Pick at least four when you sign up. Each one opens its own pool of users who've also selected it. You can change them anytime.
How the matching engine works
You pick four-plus interests from the ten categories. Manna stores them on your profile.
When you tap Find Someone, the queue is scanned for users whose selections overlap with yours by at least two.
The first compatible person in the queue is paired with you.
You both see the Common Ground (the interests you share) before the call starts. The opener writes itself.
If either of you isn't feeling it, tap no and skip to the next pairing.

Manna's average call length is meaningfully longer than random-pairing video chat sites — because every call starts with real shared ground. How does interest-based video chat work?
You pick at least four of ten interests when you sign up. When you join the live queue, Manna pairs you with the next user who shares at least two of yours. You walk into every call with at least two topics in common — so the conversation actually goes somewhere instead of dying after 'where are you from'.
Can I change my interests later?
Yes. Go to Edit Profile and toggle as many as you like. The next match will use your updated selection.
What if my interest is niche?
The ten Manna interests are intentionally broad (Music, Gaming, Travel, etc.) so the pool is big. Most users find matches in under fifteen seconds at the default level. As Manna grows we'll add sub-interests for deeper matching.
Is interest matching better than random video chat?
For most users, yes. Random pairing dies because the first thirty seconds are awkward. Interest matching gives both of you a starting point — even one shared interest is enough to break the ice. Two shared interests, which Manna guarantees, means most calls last several minutes instead of seconds.
